The Greenheck high wind models have been thoroughly tested in accordance with recognized standards.
With the H-G, H-GB, H-CUE, H-CUBE, USGF, RSFP, LBP and LDP you are not only getting a superior product
built by a quality company, you are getting the assurance through a number of third party certifications that
the fan is capable of withstanding hurricane force winds.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD):

All

Greenheck high wind models have been analyzed
using Computational Fluid Dynamics. CFD is
computer software designed to simulate the flow
of high speed (150 mph) winds over the surface
of fans. The software records the force profile
that the wind exerts on the fan, so that it can be
utilized in Finite Element Analysis.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA):

:

Utilizing the results

from CFD analysis Greenheck can accurately
predict the stress, strain and deflection that results
from high wind loads. A complete Finite Element
Analysis utilizing CFD results has been run on the
H-G, H-GB, H-CUE, H-CUBE, USGF, RSFP, LBP
and LDP models.

State P.E. Calculations:

Models have been

reviewed by state licensed Professional Engineers
to ensure that they conform to the requirements of
ASCE 7-02 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings
and Other Structures, International Building Code
and the Florida Building Code.

Test Protocols:

Models have been subjected to

an extensive testing regime. The models have
been tested in accordance with ASTM E330,
TAS-201, TAS-202 and TAS-203 (TAS-203 only on
select models) standards at design pressures that
correspond to over 150 mph windloads.

Third Party Certifications:

Models have been

certified by independent third parties to ensure
that all calculations and testing are legitimate.
Models shall bear a nameplate indicating the
Miami-Dade Approval, Florida Product Approval
or Texas Department of Insurance number that
corresponds to the certification file.

Miami-Dade NOA numbers:

07-0503.07,

07-0503.06 and 03-0422.05

When high wind forces are a concern, turn to Greenheck’s high wind models. Downblast roof exhaust fan
models H-G and H-GB, upblast restaurant exhaust fans H-CUE, H-CUBE and USGF, and exhaust and supply
fans built into a louvered enclosure RSFP, LBP and LDP are the only fans tested and certified to withstand
high winds. Don’t sacrifice quality and durability—specify the only fans that will survive hurricane force
winds, Greenheck models H-G, H-GB, H-CUE, H-CUBE, USGF, RSFP, LBP and LDP.
