TAPE IN

These RCA jacks are designed to work with

semi-pro as well as pro recorders. To compen-
sate for typically low levels, signals coming in
here will be automatically boosted by 6dB.

Connect your tape recorder’s outputs here,

using standard hi-fi (RCA) cables.

To learn how

signals are routed from these inputs, see .

TIP

SLEEVE

TIP

SLEEVE

Use these jacks for convenient tape play-

back of your mixes. You’ll be able to review a
mix, and then rewind and try another pass,
without repatching or disturbing the mixer
levels. You can also use these jacks with a por-
table tape or CD player to feed music to a PA
system between sets.

WARNING: Pushing

TAPE in the

SOURCE

matrix and

ASSIGN TO

MAIN MIX can create a
feedback path between

TAPE IN and TAPE OUT. Make sure your
tape deck is not in record, record-pause or
input monitor mode when you engage these
switches, or make sure the

CTL ROOM /

SUBMIX fader is fully down (off).

Pin 1 = Ground
Pin 2 = Positive (+ or hot)
Pin 3 = Negative (– or cold)
