Child Safety Lock

Keep children away from the
cooktop for their own safety.

The cooktop has a Child Safety Lock to
prevent children from turning on the
burners or changing the settings.

The Child Safety Lock can be activated
while the cooktop is on or off.

Activating the Child Safety Lock
during cooktop use

The settings for the burners and for
the timer cannot be altered.

– The burners and cooktop can still be

turned off but once turned off cannot
be turned on again.

Activating the Child Safety Lock
when the cooktop is turned off

– The cooktop cannot be turned on.

To activate the Child Safety Lock

^ Press and hold the $ Child Safety

Lock control until the respective
indicator lights.

The indicator will go out after a short
time.

If you touch the

$ Child Safety Lock

control or select a setting, the indicator
will come on again to show that the
Child Safety Lock has been activated.

To deactivate the Child Safety Lock

^ Press and hold the $ Child Safety

Lock control until the indicator goes
out.

In the case of a power failure the
Child Safety Lock will be
deactivated.
