Chemical agents

Problem

How to resolve it

The ingredients in chemical agents
have a strong influence on the longevity
and functionality (throughput) of the
dispensing system. The dispensing
system (hoses and pumps) should be
set up for a particular type of chemical
agent.

General types:

– Alkaline to pH neutral products,

– acidic to pH neutral products,

– hydrogen peroxide.

– Use Miele approved chemical agents

in this machine.

– Carry out a regular visual check of

the dispensing system for any
damage.

– Regularly check the flow rate of the

dispensing system.

Chemical agents can damage
elastomers and plastics in the
washer-disinfector and accessories.

– Use Miele approved chemical agents

in this machine.

– Carry out a regular visual check of

any accessible elastomers and
plastics for damage.

The following oxidising chemical agents
can damage elastomers (hoses and
seals) and plastics in the
washer-disinfector:

– Nitric acid,

– peracetic acid,

– products containing active chlorine.

The wash temperature should be
limited to:

– 50 °C Nitric acid,

– 35 °C with peracetic acid,

– 80 °C with products containing

active chlorine.

The following chemical agents can
release large amounts of oxygen:

– Hydrogen peroxide,

– peracetic acid.

– Only use approved processes such

as OXIVARIO or OXIVARIO PLUS.

– The wash temperature must be less

than 70 °C when using hydrogen
peroxide.
