Auto Setup

153 Series
Auto setup uses a calibration microphone to optimize
Sound Projector performance for most room condi-
tions. If the room is very large or has many obstacles
affecting the sound beams, you may wish to try manual
setup, which is done without the microphone.

Initial Preparation

Position and connect the TV as described under

1.

“Before You Begin,” page 33.
Power on the TV and external subwoofer, if any.

2.

Plug the microphone cable into the TV’s

3.

INPUT 3

left audio jack.

Place the microphone as described in the guide-

4.

lines on this page.

Start Auto Setup

Press

1.

MENU and go to Initial > SoundPro.

Press

2.

ENTER. Set Mode to Auto.

Highlight

3.

START and press

ENTER.

Quietly exit the room right away. The calibration

5.

sequence will start in a few seconds and may be
loud. It is important to leave the room as your pres-
ence will interfere with the calibration process.
Wait for completion of setup before returning to the

6.

room.
Play some sample audio material to check the

7.

sound quality.

Note: Do not perform manual adjustments after run-

ning Auto setup, as doing so will erase all set-
tings defined during Auto setup.

Store the microphone out of direct sunlight and

away from heat.
