Page 62: Communication, Information, Storage, Agent

However,
if
the
storage
agent
inaccurately
identifies
a
LAN-free
destination
and
the
server
is
unable
to
process
the
request,
the
operation
has
advanced
past
the
point
where
LAN
failover
will
occur
and
the
storage
agent
request
will
be
unsuccessful.
If
this
occurs,
halt
and
restart
the
storage
agent
and
then
retry
the
operation.
Adding

the
Storage

The
DSMSTA
SETSTORAGESERVER
utility
initializes
the
storage

and
adds
communication
information
to
the
device
configuration
file
and
the
dsmsta.opt

Use
this
utility
on
the
client
system
where
the
storage
agent
has
been
installed.
See
for
more
information
on
when
to
use
this
command.
This
utility
does
not
remove
any
previous
entries
in
the
files.
It
appends
information
to
the
existing
files.
The
option
DEVCONFIG,
which
sets
a
name
for
the
device
configuration
file,
must
be
in
the
dsmsta.opt
file
for
the
command
to
work.
See
for
details
on
the
information
that
the
command
adds.
