Thespeakershouldbeinstalledinoneofthe
followingwaysdependingonlocation:

Bottom-mount locations:Ifyouwillbeusing
thefactoryspeakerwires,itmaybenecessaryto
changetheterminations.Thismaybeaccomplished
byusinganadaptorplugorsimplybycuttingthe
factoryconnectoroffandusingthesuppliedcrimp
connectorstoterminatethespeakerwires.The
largeconnectorisforthepositiveterminalandthe
smallconnectorisforthenegativeterminalofeach
speaker.Youmayalsochoosetorunnewspeaker
wires.Whichevermethodyouchoose,observe
correctpolarityinyourconnections.Ifyouare
unsureaboutanyoftheseissues,contactyour
JLAudiodealerforinstallationassistance.

Double check the clearance for both speakers
before proceeding. Many cars are different from
one side to the other!
Yournewspeakershavebeendesignedtoinstall,
withoutmodifications,intomostvehiclesthataccept
a6x9inchspeaker.Mostfactory6x9inchspeakers
usefourmountingscrewsorboltswhichwilllineup
withthemountingholesonyourC2-690txspeakers.
Thespeakershouldfitsothatnoairleaksaround
themountingflange.Airleakswillcauseasevere
degradationinsoundquality.
Sealanyairleakswithsilicone,ropecaulkor
similarsealantmaterial.Installasshowninthe
diagramhere,usingthesuppliedbottom-mount
spacerringsandthesuppliedscrewsandmounting
clips.Hand-tightenthescrewsevenlytoavoid
bendingthespeakerframe!
WARNING !!
Hand-tighten the screws evenly in a criss-cross
pattern to avoid bending the speaker frame or
stripping the mounting clips.
