Enter |5 – 4x| in Y1 with the keystrokes MATH B (NUM) 1 (abs)

Next, press ENTER CL 6 to enter 6 in Y2.

Press ZOOM A (ZOOM) 5 (Default) to view the two points of
intersection of the absolute value and the horizontal line y = 6.

Press 2ndF CALC 2 (Intsct) to find one point of intersection of the
two graphs. Press 2ndF CALC 2 (Intsct) again to find the other point
of intersection.

The solution to the equation |5 – 4x| = 6 consists of the two
values -0.25 and 2.75.
