Noise Reduction

Sometimes a weak signal can produce a snowy picture (called picture noise). The ‘Noise Reduction’
feature can help to reduce this effect.

1. Press the MENU button to display the main menu. Press the

v or V button to highlight the

symbol, then press the

b button to enter the ‘Set Up’ menu.

2. Press the

v or V buttons to highlight ‘Detail Set Up’ then press the b button to display the ‘Detail Set

Up menu’ on screen.

3. Press the

v button to highlight ‘Noise Reduction’ then after pressing the b button to confirm, press

the

v or V button to set to ‘AUTO’.

4. Press the OK button to store, then press the MENU button to return to normal TV operation.

Note: To cancel this function, repeat procedure and change ‘AUTO’ to ‘Off’ in Step 3.

AV2 Output

This feature allows you to set which signal source is output from the AV2 scart socket (labelled

)

on the rear of the TV. If you connect a VCR to this socket, you can record from external equipment
connected to the other sockets of the TV.

Note: If your VCR supports Smartlink this procedure is not necessary.

1. Press the MENU button to display the main menu. Press the

v or V button to highlight the

symbol, then press the

b button to enter the ‘Set Up’ menu.

2. Press the

v or V buttons to highlight ‘Detail Set Up’ then press the b button to display the ‘Detail Set

Up menu’ on screen.

3. Press the

v button to highlight ‘AV2 Output’ then after pressing b button to confirm, press the v or V

button to choose which type of signal you want to output from the AV2 socket (see table below).

Note: If you connect a decoder to the AV2 scart or to a VCR connected to the AV2 scart, please set the ‘AV2 Output’

to ‘TV’ or ‘AUTO’ to enable correct unscrambling.

4. Press the OK button to choice of signal.

5. Press the MENU button to return to normal TV operation.

TV

Outputs the TV broadcast you are watching.

AUTO

The output signal will be whatever is being viewed on the TV.

YC3

Outputs signals from equipment connected to the

socket on the concealed side panel.

AV3

Outputs signals from equipment connected to the

socket on the concealed side panel.

AV1

Outputs signals from equipment connected to the

socket on the rear of the TV.
