6-1 Removing a Cassette When Tape Slack Occurs
If tape slack occurs in the unit, it is necessary to
remove the top and bottom plates. This job should
always be entrusted to a technician who has undergone
service training.
To clean the video heads and audio heads, always use
the special-purpose Sony BCT-HD12CL cleaning
cassette.
Follow the instructions with the cleaning cassette
carefully, as inappropriate use of the cleaning cassette
can damage the heads.
To carry out head cleaning, use the following
procedure.

Insert the cleaning cassette.
Head cleaning starts.

After an automatic head cleaning operation which
lasts for about 3 seconds, the cleaning cassette is
automatically ejected.
