File name
This function allows the user to select
the ¿ le naming format.
File name Description
Reset
After using the reset function, the next ¿ le name will be set
from 0001 even after formatting, deleting all or inserting a
new memory card.
Series*
New ¿ les are named using numbers that follow the previous
sequence, even when a new memory card is used, or after
formatting, or after deleting all pictures.
z The ¿ rst stored folder name is 100SSCAM, and the ¿ rst ¿ le
name is SDC10001.
z File names are assigned sequentially from SDC10001 
SDC10002  ~  SDC19999.
z The folder number is assigned sequentially from 100 to 999 as
follows: 100SSCAM
 101SSCAM  ~  999SSCAM.
z Maximum numbers of ¿ les in a folder are 9999.
z The ¿ les used with the memory card conform to the DCF
(Design rule for Camera File systems) format. If you change
the image ¿ le name, the image may not play back.
Imprinting the recording date
There is an option to include DATE/TIME
on still images.
– Sub menus
[Off]*: The DATE & TIME will not be
imprinted on the image ¿ le.
[Date]: Only the DATE will be imprinted
on the image ¿ le.
[Date&Time]: The DATE & TIME will be imprinted on the image ¿ le.
Ú The Date & Time are imprinted at the bottom right side of the still image.
Ú The imprint function is applied only to still images.
Ú Depending on the manufacturer and print mode, the date printed on an
image may not be printed correctly.
