seCtIon 2 UNDERSTANDING YOUR PHONE
Talk Mode
You can place and receive calls only when your phone is on. While on a call
your phone is in talk mode. Press the Options (right) soft key (
) to display a
list of options available while you are on a call. See “In Use Menu” on page 16
for more information.
Enter/Exit Silent Mode
Silence all tones your phone makes, including the calls ringer.
• In Idle mode, press and hold the
key, or press and hold the Down
volume key ( ) on the left side of the phone until you see “Silent: All”.
Release the key. Your phone returns to Idle mode, and “*Silent: All*”
appears in the display.
• While in Silent mode and Idle mode, press and hold the
key, or
press the Up volume key ( ). “*Silent: All*” disappears from the display,
and your phone returns to Idle mode.
Vibrate Mode
In Idle mode, repeatedly press and hold the Down volume key ( ) until
Vibrate appears in the display.
Adjusting the Ringer
1. In Idle mode, press the Up/Down volume key ( ) on the left side of
the phone. Options are:
• High & Vibrate
• Level 1 – 5
• Vibrate
• Silent: All
2. Release the key when the desired setting is shown. Your phone returns
to Idle mode.

Camera Mode
Camera mode lets you activate your phone’s camera to take pictures.
In Camera mode, you can also adjust the resolution and appearance of
your pictures.

• Entering Camera Mode — In Idle mode, press the Camera key ( ) on
the right side of your phone.
• Exiting Camera Mode — Press the key.
