Recording from the
radio

You can record a radio programme on a tape
by tuning in a preset station. You can use
TYPE I (normal) or TYPE II (CrO

2

) tapes.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
“FM” or “AM” appears.

Press FM or AM (or TUNER/BAND
on the remote repeatedly).

Press TUNING/PLAY MODE on
the remote repeatedly until
“PRESET” appears.

Press TUNING +/– (or ≠/±
on the remote) to tune in a preset
station.

Press §PUSH of the front cover and
insert a blank tape into the deck.

Press r REC on the remote.

The deck stands by for recording, and
the REC lamp on the unit lights up red.

7

Press DIR MODE on the remote
repeatedly to select to record
on one side or to record on
both sides.

8

Press ∏.

Recording starts from the front side.

To stop recording

Press π.

With the side you want to
record on facing forward
