Before You Archive
In order not to have your archiving
process interrupted, insert the
required number of blank DVDs into
the changer before you begin and
then go to
My DVDs
or
More
Programs > Manage Discs
so the
blank discs can by scanned and
identified by Media Center.
Trouble Shooting
Please check your media type.
Note: Archive TV Show
supports
Dual-Layer DVDs (DVD+R DL).
Required Blank Discs
When archiving TV shows,
My
Changer
provides an estimate of the
number of blank discs needed to
record or archive the episodes you
have selected to make sure the
archiving process in not interrupted.
Note: Calculations are based on the
assumption that all discs used for
archiving are single-sided.
Copy Protected Shows
You may not be able to archive some
TV shows because they may be copy
protected. If you select to archive a
show that has been copy protected,
the following message appears.
This show has been encrypted
(protected) by the broadcaster and
cannot be copied and played back on
any player other than the one
recorded to.
