Before contacting a service centre
Camera does not take images when pressing the Shutter button
ㆍ There is insufficient memory capacity
→ Delete unnecessary image files
ㆍ The memory card has not been formatted
→ Format the memory card (p.72)
ㆍ The memory card is exhausted
→ Insert a new memory card
ㆍ The memory card is locked
→ Refer to [CARD LOCKED!] error message (p.81)
ㆍ The camera’s power is off
→ Turn the camera power on
ㆍ The batteries are exhausted
→ Insert fresh batteries
ㆍ Batteries are inserted incorrectly with the reverse polarities
→ Insert the batteries according to the polarity marks (+, -)
The camera suddenly stops working while in use
ㆍ The camera was stopped due to a malfunction
→ Remove /re-insert batteries and switch the camera on
The images are unclear
ㆍ An Incorrect focus mode is selected.
→ Select a correct focus mode related to the distance.
ㆍ Taking a picture beyond the flash range
→ Take a picture within the flash range
ㆍ The lens is smudged or dirty
→ Clean the lens
The flash does not fire
ㆍ Flash off mode has been selected
→ Dis-engage flash off mode
ㆍ The camera mode can’t use the flash

Incorrect date and time is displayed
