General

MAKE. SURE. that. your. machine. is.

unplugged. during. all. service. proce-

dures!. If. this. warning. is. ignored,. seri-

ous.personal.injury.may.occur.

Redressing.Rubber.Tires

As the bandsaw ages, the rubber tires may need to

be redressed if they become hardened or glazed over.

Redressing the rubber tires improves blade tracking and

reduces vibration/blade lead.

If the rubber tires become too worn, then blade tracking

will become extremely difficult. At that point, redressing

will no longer be effective and the tires must be

replaced.

To.redress.the.rubber.tires,.do.these.steps:

1. DISCONNECT BANDSAW FROM POWER!

2. Put on heavy leather gloves, then remove the blade.

3. Clean any built-up sawdust from the rubber tires.

4. Hold 100 grit sandpaper against the rubber tire and

rotate the wheel by hand. Only redress the rubber

enough to expose a fresh rubber surface.

6. Re-install the blade, then check blade tension (refer

to

Page.17) and tracking (refer to Page.14).
