Putting a Call on Hold

You can place the current call on hold whenever you want. You can also make another call while you have a call in
progress if your network supports this service.
To place a call on hold:

Touch the Hold icon.

To make a new call while you have a call in progress:

1.

Call the first participant in the normal way.

2.

Touch New call, enter the second phone number and press

. The first call is automatically placed on hold.

When you have both an active call and a call on hold, you may switch between the two calls.
To switch between two calls:

1.

Touch either the In call tab, or the On hold tab, and touch the Swap icon. The current active call is placed on hold
and the call on hold is then reactivated so that you can continue conversing with that person.

2.

To finish, end each call normally by pressing

.

Searching for a Number in the Contacts List

You can search for a number in the Contacts List during a call.

1.

Touch the Contacts icon.

With the Contacts list displayed:

Touch the contact name displayed in the list to view the entry. The Contact information displays.

Call Waiting

You can answer an incoming call while you have a call in progress, if this service is supported by the network and you
have previously set the Call waiting option to Activate. For more information, refer to “Call settings” on page 130.
You are then notified of an incoming call by a call waiting tone.
To answer a new call while you have a call in progress:

1.

Press

to answer the incoming call. The first call is automatically put on hold.

2.

To switch between the two calls, touch either the In call tab or the On hold call tab, then touch the Swap icon.
