Basic Recording
✤ The Nite Pix function works in both Camera and M.Cam modes.
✤ The Nite Pix function enables you to record a subject in darkness.
1. Set the Power switch to CAMERA.
2. Set the Mode switch to TAPE or MEMORY CARD.
(VP-D353(i)/D354(i)/D355(i) only)
3. Slide the NITE PIX switch to ON.
■ Nite Pix indicator ( ) appears on the LCD screen.
■ The infrared light is turned on automatically.
4. To cancel the Nite Pix function, slide the NITE PIX switch to
OFF.
[ Notes ]
■ The maximum recording distance using the infrared light is
about 3 m (about 10 feet).
■ If you use the Nite Pix function in normal recording situations
(ex. outdoors by day), the recorded picture may be tinted
green.
■ Nite Pix is not available while taking a photo image.
■ In the Nite Pix mode, certain functions are not available, such
as Exposure, White Balance, Program AE, Digital Effect and
BLC.
■ If focusing is difficult in the auto focus mode when using the
Nite Pix function, focus manually.
■ Do not cover the Infrared Light with your hand.
■ Do not set the Nite Pix to ON in bright lighting. It might damage the CCD
(Charge Coupled Device).

✤ La función Nite Pix está operativa en las modalidades Camera y M.Cam.
✤ Esta función permite grabar objetos que se encuentren en lugares oscuros.
1. Coloque el interruptor Power en CAMERA.
2. Coloque el interruptor Mode en TAPE o MEMORY CARD.

3. Deslice el interruptor NITE PIX a ON.
■ Aparece el indicador de Nite Pix ( ) en la pantalla
LCD.
■ La luz infrarroja (rayos invisibles) se enciende
automáticamente.
4. Para cancelar la función Nite Pix, deslice el interruptor de
NITE PIX a OFF.
[ Notas ]
■ La distancia máxima de grabación usando la luz de
infrarrojos es de unos 3 m (10 pies).
■ Si usa la función Nite Pix en situaciones normales de
grabación (por ejemplo, exteriores durante el día), es
posible que los coloures de la imagen grabada sean poco
naturales.
■ Nite Pix no está disponible mientras se toman imágenes
fotográficas.
■ En la modalidad Nite Pix, no se puede acceder a algunas
funciones como White Balance <Balance de blanco>,
Program AE <Programa AE>, Digital Effect <Efecto digital>
y BLC.
■ Si resulta difícil en enfoque en la modalidad de enfoque automática al utilizar
la función Nite Pix, utilice el enfoque manual.
■ No tape la luz de infrarrojos con la mano.
■ No defina NITE PIX en ON con iluminación intensa. Podría estropear el CCD
(dispositivo acoplado por carga).
