Audio Control Setting

Adjust various parameters of sound quality.

Press the AUD button to enter the control mode.

Press either the FM or AM button.
Each time the button is pressed, the adjustment mode will
change as follows:
Pressing the FM button advances the display, and pressing the
AM button reverses it.

Bass

High-pass filter (rear)

Treble

High-pass filter (front)

Balance

N-F Level (only when being switched)

Fader

Source tone memory

Each source (tape, FM, AM, and disc changer) has its own
memory in which to store the bass and treble tone settings.
The settings made for a particular source are then recalled
automatically whenever you use that source (e.g., FM mode uses
the tone settings made for FM, AM for AM, etc.).

Press the

4/¢ button.

Look at the table to adjust the mode being displayed.

Press the AUD button to end the control mode.

Setting the high-pass filter

You can separately set the high-pass filter for front and rear
output, including preouts. The high-pass filter works except
during non- fading preout when switching to non-fading.
The factory default settings for front output and rear output are
"through".
