Connecting the System
SUB WOOFER PRE OUT
Connect a subwoofer (such as the optional SW-40HT) to
the [SUB WOOFER PRE OUT] terminal on the rear panel
of the main unit.
Powered Subwoofer
PHONES
Plug headphones equipped with a 3.5 mm stereo mini-
plug into the [PHONES] jack on the front panel of the main
unit.
DIGITAL IN (OPTICAL)
Digital tuner, etc.
Optical digital output
(PCM signals)
Connect the optical digital output terminals on components
such as digital tuners to the [DIGITAL IN (OPTICAL)]
terminal on the rear panel of the main unit.
Set the digital audio output on connected components
to “PCM”. z
AUX IN
VCR, etc.
Audio OUT
Connect the audio OUT terminals on components such as
VCRs to the [AUX IN] terminal on the rear panel of the main
unit.
TAPE REC OUT/PLAY IN
Audio OUT
Audio IN
Cassette deck
Connect the audio output and audio input terminals on the
cassette deck to the [TAPE PLAY IN] and [TAPE REC OUT]
terminals respectively on the rear panel of the main unit.
