4 Getting Started
Accessing keypad shortcuts
Jog shuttle shortcuts (swivel closed)
From the home screen, pressing the jog shuttle
activates two shortcuts:
• Press and hold
down to access the recent
calls list.
• Press and hold in to activate voice dialing.
Navigation key shortcuts
(swivel open)
From the home screen press the navigation key in
one of four directions to access three shortcuts and
one custom menu (see page 44 for instructions on
setting up your custom menu).
Using Menus
Swivel closed
The following menu items are available with the
swivel closed by pressing the jog shuttle
in once.
Press down to move between menu items.
• Silent Mode: Silences the phone. Press in
twice to activate. The silent mode icon appears
at the top of the menu screen.
• Keyguard: Locks the jog shuttle. The jog shuttle
is temporarily disabled when you open the swivel.
It is enabled when swivel is again closed. Press
and hold
up to lock and unlock keyguard.
• Voice Dialing: Initiates the voice dialing
prompt by pressing and holding in.
• Call History: Accesses the last 60 calls from all
categories: missed, outgoing, incoming. To
return a recent call, highlight the number, and
press
in.
• Contacts: Accesses your contacts list. Highlight
the contact and press in to call.
• Camera: Allows you to choose whether to take a
picture, record a video, or view camera
pictures or your video album.
• Scheduler: Launches the month view of the
scheduler menu.
• Media Gallery: View or listen to media.
Tip: To return to the home screen from any of
these menus, press the camera key .
