6.2.2. Windows Media Player (WMP)
IMPORTANT INFO: This software is compatible with Windows
only.
Install Windows Media Player (WMP) 11 to allow you to stream con-
tent to the LaCinema HD Connect via your Ethernet or wireless net-
work. Follow these steps to configure the connection:
1. Make sure that the software is installed on your computer.
TECHNICAL NOTE: WMP is preinstalled on Vista and Windows 7,
but XP users may have to download and install the software.
2. Make sure that your computer, the LaCinema HD Connect, and
any UPnP devices are properly connected to your network ( Fig.
68 ).
3. In WMP, turn on Media Sharing by clicking on Library > Me-
dia Sharing... ( Fig. 69 ).
4. In the Media Sharing dialogue box, select Share My Media
to... You must then tell WMP to share content with the LaCin-
ema HD Connect. Below the Share My Media check box, select
the LaCinema HD Connect and click
Allow ( Fig. 70 ).
5. Multimedia content imported into WMP will now be accessible
in the various Spaces on the LaCinema HD Connect.
