Static, sound cuts in/out,
fades. Interference from
other electrical units. L Move the cordless handset and the base unit away from other
electrical appliances.
L Move closer to the base unit.
The cordless handset
stops working while being
used. L Disconnect the power cord and turn OFF the cordless handset to
reset the unit. Connect the power cord, turn ON the cordless
handset and try again.
L You pressed a dialling button when the call bar feature was turned
ON (page 76).
L You dialled a number registered for the call restriction feature (page
79).
While storing an item in
the phonebook or
assigning a hot key, the
cordless handset starts to
ring. L To answer a call, press {C} or {s}. Storing will be cancelled.
Store the name and number again.
I cannot redial by
pressing -. L If the redialled number was more than 24 digits long, the number
will not be redialled. Redial the number manually.
7 flashes or the
cordless handset beeps
intermittently while it is in
use.
L Charge the batteries fully (page 23).
I charged the batteries
fully, but 7 still flashes. L Clean the charge contacts and charge again (page 23).
L It is time to replace the batteries (page 21).
I cannot receive
documents by pressing
{*}{#}{
9} on the
cordless handset.
L You must set remote fax activation to ON (feature #41 on page 69)
beforehand.
L Press {*}{#}{9} firmly.
L The memory is full of received documents due to a lack of
recording paper or a recording paper jam. Install paper (page 20)
or clear the jammed paper (page 100).
L The call bar feature was activated on the cordless handset.
Deactivate this feature (page 76).
L The direct call feature (page 76) was activated on the cordless
handset. Deactivate this feature.
I cannot make a call with
the cordless handset. L The call bar feature is set. Turn it OFF (page 76).
L You dialled a call restricted number. Remove the number from the
call restricted list (page 79).
L The key lock feature is turned ON. Turn it OFF (page 31).
I cannot register a
cordless handset to a
base unit. L The maximum number of base units are already registered to the
cordless handset. Cancel unused base unit registrations from the
cordless handset (page 82).
L The maximum number of cordless handsets are already registered
to the base unit. Cancel unused cordless handset registrations
from the base unit (page 81).
L You entered the wrong PIN. If you forget your PIN, consult your
nearest Panasonic service centre.
L Locate the cordless handset and the base unit away from other
electrical appliances.
