ELECTING TAPE POSITION DISPLAY TYPE

If the O

K button is pressed during playback and recording, the

current tape position (hours : minutes : seconds) is shown in the

display.There are two different types of display available.

4 This is normal, and is necessary for technical

reasons.

4 This may happen, for example, when you insert an

incompletely-rewound cassette into the video

recorder and rewind it to the start of the tape.

Since the display is automatically reset to

“00:00:00” when you insert a cassette, the

actual start of the cassette for the set is less than

zero - thus in the negative range.The tape position

is displayed with a minus sign “-”.

4 The set needs a little time to calculate the remaining

playing time.After a few seconds, the display should

change from “--:--” to the corresponding value
