Using headphones

Adjusting the
subwoofer level

You can adjust the output level while playing sources. You can adjust the level
according to your preference by thickening or thinning the ultra bass, for example.

Press

and make a

selection.

Adjustment range:
--- (off), MIN (minimum), 5,
10, 15, MAX (maximum)

• Factory setting:

SUBW 10

• Select “

--- ” to stop output.

• Sound can be distorted if you raise the volume while the subwoofer level is

high. Reduce the subwoofer level if this occurs.

• Adjust the output level by taking steps described in “Adjusting the output level”

(á page 26) when you wish to make detailed settings.

MUTING IS ON ” scrolls on the display while

the volume is muted.

• Press the button again to cancel the operation.

Muting is cancelled when the unit is turned off.

1 Press [SPEAKERS A] and

[SPEAKERS B] to switch all
speakers off.

2 Lower the volume by turning [VOLUME, -,

+] and connect headphones to the unit.

Plug type: ø 6.3 mm stereo standard plug

3 Adjust the volume by turning [VOLUME, -,

+].

• Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent

hearing damage.

• Playback channels become two when you switch all speakers

off. The 2-channel mix (2CH MIX) function activates
automatically when you play a multi-channel source.
(Excluding DVD-Audio sources that do not allow down-mixing)

• The “DVD ANALOG 6CH” function (á page 18) goes off

and front two channels make audio output when you play
sources through analogue 6-channel connections (á page
8).
