3. Frame your subject using the LCD screen or viewfinder.

4. Align the Focus mark or the optical viewfinder centre on the subject

you want to capture. Press the Shutter button halfway to set the

exposure and focus. The camera automatically detects the subject and

highlights the auto focus mark in blue from one of the five available

focus points, which it will use to determine the focus. The Focus

LED remains steady, indicating the camera focus is locked on the

subject.

NOTE:

• The icon

will appear when the shutter speed is slow, which reminds you

to hold the camera steady or use a tripod.

• The LCD screen will show you the aperture value and the shutter speed at

which you take the picture.

• The camera highlights both the aperture value and the shutter speed in red

if they are not suitable for taking a picture. If this happens, release your

finger, press Down button to select the aperture value field or the shutter

speed field, and press Left/Right button to adjust the aperture value and
shutter speed respectively.

Recompose the scene and press the Shutter

button halfway to reset the focus.

• When the Focus LED blinks and the red focus mark appears on the LCD

screen (when it is on), there is difficulty in focusing the subject. Release

the Shutter button, recompose the scene and press the Shutter button
halfway to reset the focus.

5. Hold the camera steady. Press the Shutter button completely down

to take a picture.
