6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION (if so equipped)

LOCK OUT

Ⅲ In 6-speed manual transmission equipped vehicles, the shift

selector is equipped with a Reverse lock-out feature that
prevents accidental selection of Reverse (instead of 1st gear).

SHIFTING TO REVERSE

Ⅲ Lift up on the collar just below the shift knob, then move the

shift selector left and up into Reverse.

REAR SONAR SYSTEM (if so equipped)

When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the rear sonar system is operational.

The system detects rear obstacles only when the shift selector is in the R (Reverse) position.

When backing up, this system will beep to alert you to obstacles within 3.9 ft (1.2 m) of the
rear bumper. The system beeps faster as the vehicle gets closer to the obstacle. A
continuous tone sounds when an obstacle is less than 11.8 in (30 cm) away from the
bumper.

Keep the sonar sensors (located on the bumper fascia) free from snow, ice and large
accumulations of dirt. If the sensors are covered, it will affect the accuracy of the sonar
system.
