The power source must be grounded.

If possible, try to use an independent electric outlet. If the unit is
connected to an outlet to which an electric household appliance,
such as a vacuum cleaner or air-conditioner, is connected, the
product may experience power source noise interference.

Do not connect the power cord to an extension cord, as this may
cause a malfunction.
