MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS

14. Insert the ends of the line through the eyelets in the

outer spool. Place inner reel inside the outer spool
(Fig. 17).

15. While holding the inner reel and outer spool, grasp

the ends of the lines and pull firmly. This will release
the lines from the holding slots in the inner reel.

16. Press the bottom cover into the outer spool until it

snaps into place.

INSTALLING A PREWOUND REEL

1. Press the tabs in and remove the bottom cover (Fig. 11).

2. Remove the old inner reel from the outer spool (Fig. 12).

3. Take the prewound inner reel and insert the ends of

the line through the eyelets in the outer spool (Fig. 17).

4. While holding the inner reel and outer spool, grasp

the ends of the lines and pull firmly to release the line
from the holding slots in the inner reel.

5. Press the bottom cover into the outer spool until it

snaps into place.

PAWL REPLACEMENT

If the pawl in the cutting attachment requires
replacement due to cracking or wear, use the following
instructions.

1. Position the pawl so that it is hooked by the spring

(Fig. 18).

2. Slide a medium sized flat bladed screwdriver through

the tab hole in the outer spool and under the pawl
(Fig. 18). Position the end of the screwdriver next to
the pawl shaft.

3. Turn the screwdriver to release the pawl from its

retaining hole in the outer spool. Once it is loose,
remove and discard the old pawl.

4. Replace with a new pawl. Press the pawl firmly over

the pawl shaft until it snaps in place into its retaining
hole.
