SETTING THE CTCSS TONE
Notes:
• If you are a part of a talk group, be sure all of the
radios in the talk group use the same tone.
• You must install the CTCSS option before you
can set the CTCSS tone.
1. Turn off the radio.
2. Unlock the battery compartment cover latch on
each side. (The orange tabs should be visible.)
Then slide the cover down and lift it off.
3. Remove the battery pack and tray. This exposes
the bank of CTCSS switches.
