Using the Timer Functions

Cancelling the timer programming operation

Press TIMER.

STANDBY

Press

to specify the timer On time.

When the unit displays the desired time, press
ENTER.
You can also use the number buttons to specify
the time. For example, to program 7:29, press
RECEIVER
, then press 0, 7, 2, and 9.
Press +10 to switch AM and PM on the 12-hour
display.

Notes
• When you set the On time, the Off time is

automatically set to an hour later.

• If an MD recorder is programmed to start

recording by a timer, the first few seconds of
the signal may not be recorded. Program the
On time to a value that is about one minute
earlier than the desired On time.

Press

to set the timer Off time.

When the unit displays the desired time, press
ENTER.

Turn off the power to place the unit in
Standby mode.

Press STANDBY to place the unit in Standby
mode.

• During timer recording, the unit is muted and

the subwoofer (SWA-155X) is not turned on.
If you wish to audition the sound during
recording, press MUTING to cancel mute
mode. The subwoofer is turned on and you
will be able to hear the sound.

• If you wish to record FM or AM analog signals to an MD recorder, be sure to select “Analog

In” for the MD’s recording input source.

• Unless the unit is in Standby mode, the timer will not work at the programmed time. Be sure

to place the unit in Standby mode by pressing STANDBY so that the timer will work.
