Press the shutter-release button to
take the picture.
• Focus and exposure are locked when the
shutter-release button is pressed halfway, and
a picture is taken when the shutter-release
button is pressed the rest of the way down.
• When the camera is unable to focus, the focus
area blinks red. Change the composition and
press the shutter-release button halfway again.

Note on Food Mode
Flash mode is disabled. Focus mode setting (
A36) is fixed at p (macro close-up).

White Balance Setting in Food Mode
• Increasing the amount of red or blue will decrease illumination effects.
• Changing white balance in food mode will not affect White balance in the shooting menu
• The white balance setting applied in food mode is stored in the camera’s memory even after the
camera is turned off, and reapplied the next time food mode is selected.
