Suggestion

Called party hears you, but cannot be
heard; conversation breaks up;
handoff clicks occur during
conversation.

Check the handset signal strength by moving
closer to a base station. For best results the
signal strength indicator should show three to five
bars, and the operating environment should be
unrestricted.

No date, time and signal strength in
LCD.

Power the handset off and on or move closer to a
base station. It can take up to a minute for the full
display to appear.

No dial tone.

Ensure that the handset is unlocked and check
the volume level. If the problem remains, the
handset is not locked onto a base station. Power
the handset off and on or move closer to the base
station.

Weak or delayed dial tone.

Check the volume level. Consider dialing the
number and pressing

#&$//

instead of pressing

&$//

and waiting for dial tone.
