Chapter 8: Using the TV’s features

Switching the main and POP pictures

Press SWAP while the POP double-window is open to switch the main and POP
pictures.

Note: This feature is not available when viewing a digital source in the main window.

Freezing the main picture in the POP double-window

1. While the POP double-window is not open, press FREEZE. The POP window

will open, displaying the main picture as a still picture.

2. Continue to press FREEZE repeatedly to refresh the still picture in the POP

window, which acts as a slow “strobe” of the program in the main window.

To close the still POP window:

Press EXIT.

Adjusting the size of the main and POP pictures

You can adjust the size of the main and POP pictures in the double-window.
Repeatedly press

x or • to change the size. See notes at right.

Avoid displaying stationary images on
your TV screen for extended periods of
time. Fixed (non-moving) images (such
as still PIP/POP windows or black/gray
bars in wide-screen or PIP/POP formats)
can become permanently engrained in
the picture tube. This type of damage
is NOT COVERED BY YOUR
WARRANTY
because it is the result of
misuse. See item 33 on page 4.

Note: The FREEZE feature is not available
when the POP window is already open. If you
press FREEZE when the POP window is open,
the message “Not available” will appear.
