Setting Your Phone’s Roam Mode

Your Sprint PCS Phone allows you to control your roaming
capabilities. By using the Roaming menu option, you can
determine which signals your phone accepts.

Set Mode

Choose from three different settings on your dual- band
phone to control your roaming experience.

To set your phone’s roam mode:

1.

Press Menu (

) to access the main menu.

2.

Select Settings (

).

3.

Select Roaming (

).

4.

Select Set Mode (

).

5.

Highlight an option.

Sprint Only allows you to access the Nationwide
Sprint PCS Network only and prevents
roaming on other networks.

Automatic seeks Sprint PCS Service.
When Sprint PCS Service is unavailable,
the phone searches for an alternate system.

Roaming Only forces the phone to seek a roaming
system. The previous setting (Sprint Only or
Automatic) is restored the next time the phone is
turned on.

Checking for Voicemail Messages While Roaming

When you are roaming off the Nationwide Sprint PCS
Network, you may not receive on-phone notification of
new voicemail messages. Callers can still leave messages,
but you will need to periodically check your voicemail for
new messages if you are in a roaming service area for an
extended period of time.

To check your voicemail while roaming:

1.

Dial 1+area code+your Sprint PCS Phone number.

2.

When you hear your voicemail greeting, press

.

3.

Enter your pass code at the prompt and follow the
voice prompts.

When you return to the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network,
voicemail notification will resume as normal.
