Overview
This document describes how to mount a Vidikron Vision Model 30, Model 30ET or Model 50 DLP projector on a ceiling. This
type of mounting is recommended for fixed installations and for those that want the projector out of sight or have a limited
space for projector and audience.
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE INSTALLATION.
WARNING: IMPROPER INSTALLATION MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY! All components must be securely fastened to
each other and to the ceiling, and the ceiling structural members must be capable of supporting a redundant weight factor FIVE TIMES
the total weight of the equipment. If the ceiling cannot support this weight, reinforce the ceiling before installing the mount.
INSTALLING THE CEILING MOUNT REQUIRES THE PRESENCE OF TWO PERSONS FAMILIAR WITH MECHANICAL INSTALLATIONS.
A THIRD ASSISTANT IS RECOMMENDED.
Required Tools and Materials
• Phillips screwdriver
• 3/16” hex wrench
• Other required tools and hardware, as dictated by the method of installation (refer to Step 3).
Installation Sequence
Step 1: Determine Projector Location
Step 2: Attach Mounting Plate to Projector
Step 3: Install Ceiling Bracket
Step 4: Mount the Projector
