USE AN EXTINGUISHER ONLY IF:
• You know you have a class ABC extinguisher and
you already know how to operate it.
• The fire is small and contained in the area where it
started.
• The fire department is being called.
• You can fight the fire with your back to an exit
(NFPA fire safety tips).

• Installations and repairs must be performed by a
qualified or licensed contractor, plumber or gas fitter,
qualified or licensed by the state, province or region
where this appliance is being installed.
• Use only gas shut-off valves approved for use within
the state, province or region where this appliance is
being installed.
• A flexible gas connector, when used, must not
exceed 3' (.9 m).
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY TO PERSONS
IN THE EVENT OF A RANGETOP GREASE FIRE,
OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
Smother flames with a close-fitting lid, baking
sheet or other metal tray; then turn off the gas
burner. Be careful to prevent burns. If the flames do
not go out immediately, evacuate and call the fire
department.
Do not use water on grease fires.
Never pick up a flaming pan, you may be burned.
Burning gas cooking fuel generates some by-
products that are on the list of substances known
to cause cancer or reproductive harm. To minimize
exposure to these substances, always operate this
unit according to the instructions contained in this
guide and provide good ventilation.
