13 Fault

WARNING

All maintenance and repair work on the pump must be carried out by an au-
thorised service workshop only.

Problem

is not attained,

Vacuum gauge faulty

Replace the vacuum gauge (Festool Service)

Vacuum pump faulty

Repair or replace the vacuum pump (Festool
Service)

Hose and/or pipe connections are not
tight

Check the connections for leaks

Air fi lter partly blocked

Replace the air fi lter

More than 2000 m above sea level

Slide valve worn

Change the slide valve (Festool Service)

Clamping unit not connected

Connect the clamping unit

Clamping unit not seated correctly on
the base surface

Seat the clamping unit correctly on the base
surface

Unsuitable base surface (not airtight or
fl at)

Use a suitable base

Rubber seal underneath the contact
surface shows signs of damage

Replace the rubber seal

Foot valve faulty

Replace the foot valve
(Festool Service)

Insuffi cient
vacuum during
operation.

Vacuum hose faulty or leaking

Replace the vacuum hose; replace the hose
connector if necessary

Vacuum pump faulty

Repair or replace the vacuum pump (Festool
Service)

When using the clamping unit
VAC SYS SE:
Clamping unit does not form a seal
with the clamping plate
Suction cup on the workpiece not com-
pletely sealed

Stop work immediately and remove the work-
piece
Check the clamping plate and suction cup

The vacuum
pump does not
start.

Drive motor is overloaded or connected
to incorrect mains voltage

Connect the drive motor to the correct mains
voltage

Vacuum pump faulty

Repair or replace the vacuum pump (Festool
Service)

Mains cable is too small or too long

Use a mains cable with suffi cient dimensions

The vacuum
pump seizes.

Solid foreign matter has entered the
vacuum pump

Contact Festool Service

Slide valve broken

Replace the slide valve
(Festool Service)

The vacuum
pump makes
excessive noise
or rattles during
operation.

Loose mains connection(s)

Tighten or replace loose connections.

Foreign objects in the vacuum pump
Faulty bearings or worn slide valves
