channel. These are the levels assigned to the four card inputs before they
are routed to their destination outputs. They do not affect the recording
level of the inputs. Similar to the WAV Playback channels, these controls
are also mono.

DMAN 2044 Audio Settings Property Page

The DMAN 2044 Audio Settings property page allows several DMAN
2044 functions to be configured. To display that page, click on the
Windows Start button. Then select Settings | Control Panel | DMAN 2044
Control
. The DMAN 2044 Properties page will be displayed:

NOTE: A short-cut to this property page is installed on your desktop
when the DMAN 2044 drivers are installed. To use the shortcut
“Dman2044,” merely double-click on its icon.

In the Monitor Assignments group, there are four list boxes – one for
each input. These list boxes control the monitor routing for each card
input. In other words, they specify an output jack at which you will be
able to hear (monitor) the input signal. In the example above, the user
will hear a mix of IN1 + IN3 at OUT1, and a mix of IN2 + IN4 at OUT2.
Any combination of inputs may be routed to any of the outputs and the
output mix can be mono or stereo. The level of each input in the mix is
determined by the settings of the Monitor sliders in the Windows
Playback Mixer application (see Windows Playback Mixer section).

Below the Monitor Assignments is a special control, the software sync
switch labeled “Synchronize Playback with Pause Logic”. Windows 95
has no standard method for synchronizing multiple ports on the same
audio card. As a work-around, the DMAN 2044 driver has a special
