3. Installing the Battery


The unit comes with a battery insulator to prevent the battery from running down during storage. The battery
compartment is situated at the back of the unit. Use a small coin to remove the cover of the battery compartment as
indicated by the arrow. Remove the battery insulator and reinsert the battery. Make sure that the positive pole is
face-up and close the battery compartment firmly.
The unit will display a full screen of numbers (

) when the battery is first installed. This is a self-test

procedure performed by the unit's small processor. After ± 2 seconds, the display will switch to zeros (

).

4. Using the Stopwatch


Press the "LAP/RESET" button once to clear the screen. Press the "START/STOP" button once and the stopwatch
will start running.
