Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not

Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to
changes in temperature. Protect the device against damage by leaving it
switched off until it has reached room temperature.

Readings may be affected if the unit is operated within a radio frequency
electromagnetic field strength of about 3 V/m, but the performance of
the instrument will not be permanently affected.

Note: in an EM field of 3 V/m from 350 to 550 MHz, the maximum error
is 8 °C (14.4 °F).

Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.

Keep this manual for future reference.

6. Operation

Aim the infrared lens [3] at the target and press the measurement
key [5] to display the target’s surface temperature. A red laser spot
appears on the target during measurement.
