11).

8. Installation
8.1

Set up connection between keypad and control panel

1. On first use, pull out the battery protection strip on the back.

2. Put the keypad in test mode:

enter the PIN code (factory default is 0000), then press *.
The keypad will sound 1 long beep and the green LED will blink.

3. On the CTC1000 control panel, go to the Add Device menu

(see chapter Managing devices in the control panel manual).

4. Refer to the control panel user manual to complete the learn-in

process.

5. When done, put the control panel in walk test mode (see section

Walk test in chapter Configuration in the control panel manual).

6. Hold the keypad in the desired location, press the * button and

then the 1 button to check whether the location is within range
of the control panel.

7. If you have chosen a proper location, you can attach the keypad

to the wall following the steps described below. You will now set

the pin code.

8. Press * then 6.

A long beep will be sound.

9. Enter the PIN code (default PIN code is 0000).

10. Press

.

The keypad sounds a long beep.

11. Enter your new 4-digit code.

12. Press #.

The keypad sounds a long beep.

13. Press the Disarm button

twice to exit test mode.

The keypad is now connected to the control panel.

Mounting the keypad

1. Remove both cover plates from the keypad (for example with a

small flathead screwdriver).
