Step 5: With the control arms installed and bolts torqued,

attached the emergency brake lines at the rear caliper and

using the supplied ty-raps, loosely attached the brake lines to

the control arms similar to the OEM attachment. It is

important to loosely attach the lines with ty-raps to allow for

the natural pivoting of the control arms under normal driving

conditions otherwise the ty-raps could break over time.

Tech 101: At this point you are probably wondering why the adjustable feature of the Ingalls control

arms is so important. First, the adjustable feature allows the end user or tuner to modify the rear

suspension geometry and optimize the thrust angle on cars that are built slightly off or have been

involved in an accident. Second, components that are adjustable are just too cool. On our product

development car, thrust angle was off considerably. Installing Ingalls new adjustable panhard bar will

further improve thrust angle by relocating the bar slightly. Once you have the new panhard bar

installed you can take new measurements and fine-tune the rear suspension based on that alignment

data. The high range of adjustment that Ingalls provides is more than adequate for most scenarios.
