in order to help lessen vibration. If your brackets are within these measurements and Parallel, torque the bolts
removed in steps 3 and 5 to manufactures specs. Thread lock can be used in this step.

8. Adjust engine torque damper for proper length there should be no binding between the bracket and the heim joint
on the engine torque damper. Refer to Illustration 4 for proper engine torque damper placement. Use supplied
hardware to install the damper onto the brackets. The order should go bolt/damper/rubber o ring/bracket/nut. Check
once more for any binding in the brackets or torque damper, if everything matches Illustration 4, torque the
supplied (17 mm socket and 15 mm socket) M10 hardware to 35 Ft. pounds. If your gap between the brackets is
>16 mm use 1 M10 washer as needed to align the E.T.D. with the brackets.

9. Check to make sure all bolts and nuts have been torqued to specifications that were provided in the kit or by your
vehicle manufacturer. Re-install the power steering reservoir removed in step 6 and the coolant overflow tank
removed in step 2. Be careful to route all hoses away from the engine torque damper and all moving parts.

Note: Proper use and fitment of the rubber O-ring helps dampen additional road noise or road “feel” that can be
transferred through the damper assembly. The o-ring should be used between the Stiffy™ rod end and bracket for
optimal noise dampening. Dynamat or other dampening materials as used in the aftermarket stereo and in-car
electronics industries can also be used to provide further noise and vibration dampening.
