4. Place the supplied spacer sleeve between both sides of the Engine Mounting Bracket. Install Stiffy™ on the Engine

Mounting Bracket with the extension facing the Chassis Mounting Bracket. Use the supplied M10x1.50x70mm bolt, o-ring,
washer and locking nut (black in color). The bolt goes through the Stiffy™ rod end then the o-ring, washer and finally
through the bracket and spacer. Tighten nut on rear of bolt. Refer to Illustration 4.


5. Adjust length of the Stiffy™ at the Engine Mounting Bracket rod end to align holes at the Chassis Mounting Bracket.

6. Use the supplied M10x1.50x15mm bolt and hardware to install the Stiffy™ to the rear side of the Chassis Mounting Bracket

similar to step 4 above, utilizing the provided o-ring and washer between the rod end and the bracket. Refer to Illustration
5
.


7. Reinstall engine cover. Check for clearance between Stiffy™ and engine cover. Some trimming of the cover may be

necessary.


Note: The flat washers and o-rings must be used on the Stiffy™ mounting bolts between the bracket and rod end to prevent
the rod end from vibrating against the bracket. The flat washer goes toward the bracket and the o-ring goes toward the rod end.

Note: Do not attempt to adjust Stiffy™ from its pre-set stiffness without consulting the Ingalls website. Large open-
end wrenches are required to adjust stiffness. Most standard and mechanics tool kits do not include these types of
wrenches.
