10.

Install the “L” mounting bracket

(C)

to

the top of the Scoop Base

(B)

using two

5/16”-18 hex bolts

(G)

, two 5/16” hex nuts

(H)

four flat washers

(F)

and two lock washers

(D)

. Leave hand tight for now.

14.

Move the Main Channel portion of the

assembly up into the wheel well.

18.

Double check to make sure all hardware

is securely fastened and all parts are properly
positioned.

11.

Install the second “L” mounting bracket

(C)

to the top of the Scoop Base

(B)

using the

remaining 5/16” supplied hardware. Leave
hand tight for now.

15.

With the bottom of the scoop supported

attach the Main Channel

(A)

to the S&B

intake box. Use a small amount of Loctite on
the remaining 1/4” hardware and tighten.

19.

Reinstall the wheel well liner using the

(8) screws that were removed in step #2.
Make sure all of the screws are started before
tightening them down.

12.

With the two brackets loosely mounted

to the scoop assembly, carefully slide it under
the vehicle, Main Channel end first.

16.

Push the two “L” Mounting Brackets

(C)

over the studs. Make sure the tabs are flush
against the inner bumper. Re-attach the OE
nuts to the studs. Re-Torque to factory spec.

20.

Check to make the Scoop assembly

does not interfere with the wheel or wheel
well liner. Turn the wheel in both directions
while trying to simulate full suspension travel.

13.

Carefully slide the brackets between the

tire and bumper. Note: You may want to turn
the wheel to the right to gain extra clearance.

17.

When you are satisfied with the

positioning, tighten down the “L” brackets

(C)

to the Scoop Base

(B)

using two 1/2”

wrenches (one on top and one inside).

21.

Push in the pin that was removed in step

#3 from inside the engine compartment. Then
reconnect both batteries terminals. Inspect
the installation, be sure the kit is properly
positioned and all fasteners are secure.
