Inputs/Outputs

MIC 1 & 2:

Allows the connection of both balanced (XLR) and
unbalanced (1/4") microphones. Each MIC input has a level
control to independently adjust or mix each input.
Note: Not to be used as an input for line level
equipment e.g. CD players, tuners, turntables, etc.

Line In:

Allows the connection of both balanced (XLR) and
unbalanced (1/4") line level equipment e.g. CD players,
tuners, cassette players, etc. It features a level control to
independently adjust or mix the input level. A 1/4" plug to
two RCA jack adaptor is included for easy connection of
devices using RCA type output connectors. This is a mono
input. All stereo signals are summed to mono.
Note: If you are using a turntable with this unit, a RIAA
equalized phono preamp (#245-035) must be used.

Line Out:

Balanced (XLR male) line level output for easy daisy
chaining of multiple units. The Line Out signal will include
any MIC or Line In input being used. This Line Out should
be connected to the Line In of additional units.

Speaker Out:

Allows the connection of an additional slave or non-amplified
speaker system. The connection uses a standard 1/4" plug
with the tip being positive. The minimum impedance allowed
for the slave speaker is 8 ohms.
Note: The absolute minimum impedance for this
amplifier is 4 ohms. If the active speaker impedance is
4 ohms, the Speaker Out feature should not be used.
Example: Active speaker = 8 ohms, slave speaker = 8
ohms, total amplifier load will be 4 ohms which is
acceptable. Active speaker = 4 ohms, slave speaker = 4
ohms, total amplifier load will be 2 ohms which is not
acceptable and could cause damage to the amplifier.

Power In:

This unit features a non-grounded IEC power jack. This
jack allows the user to quickly exchange the power cord if
damaged or if a longer cord is desired. This IEC jack also
houses the main power fuse (5A, 110V GMA). If the unit
stops operating for any reason, always check this fuse first.
An extra fuse is located inside the fuse housing.

Controls/ Switches

Master:

Controls the volume or output level of the amplifier.

Treble:

Allows the user to fine tune the high frequency output of the
amplifier. The frequency is centered at 10 kHz and allows
for +/- 12 dB of adjustment.

Bass:

Allows the user to fine tune the low frequency output of the
amplifier. The frequency is centered at 100 Hz and allows
for +/- 12 dB of adjustment.

Clip LED:

The unit features a red Clip LED indicator. If the Clip LED is
illuminated or flashing, the amplifier is producing distortion
(clipping) and the volume level should be reduced.

Power:

This switch turns on and off the amplifier. The unit features
a green power LED for positive indication that AC power is
present.

Thank you for purchasing the #300-797 P.A. Amplifier. This amp is ideal for building active monitors or converting existing
speakers to a powered audio system. Perfect for karaoke applications! The open frame module design mounts easily to
speaker cabinets creating a self contained portable P.A. system. The unit features two microphone and one line level
input, each with its own level control allowing for easy mixing of all inputs. Each input is compatible with both balanced
and unbalanced sources. A handy balanced line level output allows for easy daisy chaining of multiple amplifier units. The
#300-797 also has a convenient speaker output for connection of an additional slave or non-amplified speaker system.
Other useful features include bass, treble and master volume controls.
