Power menu

The Power menu items allow you to change the settings for the ACPI and

Advanced Power Management (APM) features. Select an item then press

<Enter> to display the configuration options.

4.5.1 ACPI 2.0 Support [No]

Allows you to add more tables for Advanced Configuration and Power

Interface (ACPI) 2.0 specifications. Configuration options: [No] [Yes]

4.5.2 ACPI APIC Support [Enabled]

Allows you to enable or disable the Advanced Configuration and Power

Interface (ACPI) support in the Application-Specific Integrated Circuit

(ASIC). When set to Enabled, the ACPI APIC table pointer is included in the

RSDT pointer list. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]

Do not change the ACPI APIC support after you have installed the

operating system (OS), otherwise, a boot failure may occur.

4.5.3 ACPI MCFG Support [Enabled]

Allows you to enable or disable the Memory Mapped Configuration (MCFG)

support. When set to Enabled, the MCFG table pointer is included in the

RSDT pointer list. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]

Set the ACPI MCFG Support to Disable, when you install RedHat AS4.0 UP2

64 bit, Fedora Core 3 64 bit, Fedora Core 4 64 bit operation system, and

4 GB memory.
