4.2.5.1 CREATING AND EDITING AUTOLOG TESTS

The Edit Tests button lets the user Configure (define and/or edit) one or more tests that can be defined in the selected transducer.
Clicking this button opens the AutoLog window open (figure 4.22). This window permits the user to view and/or edit any or all of the
AutoLog tests (numbered 1 - 16) that are defined inside the selected Level Scout.

Figure 4.22

On top of the initial AutoLog window, a temporary status window may appear during the process of reading all (up to 16) tests inside
the transducer. When this operation is done, the AutoLog window is enabled, allowing the user to create new tests or to edit existing
tests.

Notice the three options in the frame of controls located at the upper left of this window. Although the Edit Test function is currently
selected, two other configurations (Extract Test Data and Other) can be chosen at any time. These functions are described in the
following sections.

Notice the Send and Exit buttons at the upper right of this window. The Send button can be selected anytime there are one or more
edit (pink) changes made that need to be sent to the selected transducers or broadcast to All transducers assigned to the Run window
per the Apply to: frame at the bottom right of the window. To return to the Run window, select the Exit (or X) button. If edit (pink)
changes have been made, the user will be warned if exiting the window is attempted without sending the edits to the transducer first.

The status of all tests appears in the frame titled Summary of Existing Tests, which is a collection of tabbed sections. Any of these 16
tests may be viewed, one at a time, by clicking the desired test number tab. The large white test status pane of the selected tab will show
a summary report of that test’s parameters. Such parameters cannot be edited directly in this display-only pane. Instead, all editable
parameters also appear in the frame titled Configure/Edit Test “n” (where n is the selected test number). Select each of its four tabs to
view and edit all of the current test’s parameters. These parameters include:

Time:

Specify begin and end times: None, Absolute, or Relative

Scan:

Specify period, type (e.g., linear, logarithmic, averaged, event-based), and other scan options (degree of averaging,
etc)
