Clicking the Scales button on this window reveals other advanced options for overriding plot scale end-points normally chosen
automatically (figure 4.14). Clicking the Options button (on right) will restore the original second frame of main options. Once any
Scale End-Points have been edited they will persist until the Plot format is reselected for the display which restores the original
“automatic” scale end-points. When a single transducer is the Trend scope, its automatically determined scale end-points are
appropriate to the range of that transducer. However, when “All” transducers are plotted together, the scale end-points are
“amalgamated” (i.e., they range from the lowest end-point of the lowest transducer range, to the highest end-point of the highest
transducer range), and for Pressure (P) and Temperature (T) measurement they may vary in units as well.

The user can exclude any measurement from the current plot by clicking its name label (P, T, Tb, Vs, ...) on the Scales window. This
method removes the measurement from the plot only, without affecting the selected measurements that continue to be acquired and
recorded. Clicking the measurement’s name label again restores it to the plot.
Any changes to plot options will cause a Trend plot to restart (at zero time). So, be sure to make all changes and test them ahead of
time, if it is necessary to see plotted Trend data uninterrupted for extended periods.
There is a third Display type, called Both, that reveals both a Tabular Display and Plot Display in the same window. For some
applications this is particularly useful since this allows the user to view the graphic representation of data and the most recently
acquired/extracted digital tabular printed values.
Examples of this display type and its option windows are shown on the following page (figures 4.15 and 4.16). As before, the option
windows can be obtained by clicking the Options button, by making the Display | Options menu selection, or by clicking the plotting
surface.
